Australia is the leading economy in Oceania and south Pacific region, with the per capita GDP of $20,000. It is the most important trade partner of our province and also a net textile and garment importer, with its 70% textile and garment imported from other countries. China’s textile and garment products have kept a good reputation in the Australian market and have an extensive market foreground.
China Textile and Clothes Exhibition in AUSTRALIA (Australia Exhibition for short) is sponsored by the department of commerce. Started in 2001, now it has been successfully hold for a decade. The impact is greatly enlarged by holding the exhibition together with Australia’s international purchasing exhibition. This year, commerce department of China will continue to list the Australia Exhibition as one of its sponsored and key oversea exhibitions. In order to help textile and garment industry of Jiangsu Province further expand the Australian market, further implement provincial cooperation mechanism, government of Jiangsu province will join hands will commerce department of China to host the 2011 Australia Exhibition. The activity will be undertaken by our office and China Textile Import and export Chambers of Commerce. The organization work will be carried out by the Jiangsu Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Now the specific matters are notified as follows:
