The polyester yarn price increased in Shengze, China today. A local direct spinning manufacturer reported that part of their DTY products increased 100-150 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 19, 200 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance) and DTY 75D/144F 21,300 Yuan/ton. While another local melt spinning manufacturer’s quotation keep stable. Now they quoted DTY 150D/144F 18,200 Yuan/ton. And the other manufacturer’s quotation also keeps unchanged. Now they quoted spot exchange of FDY 50D/48F for 18, 800 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19, 500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that yesterday’s sales numerously increased and the production-marketing was above 200%. They said the early inquiry atmosphere was strong and some of the manufacturers had begun limited sales. The polyester yarn price has slight increase in Taicang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer reported that some specific products of fine denier FDY series and normal POY products increased 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F is quoted 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the sales rose back obviously and the production-marketing was over 250%.
The polyester yarn price is slightly pulled up in Xiao Shan Market, China. A local mainstream POY manufacturer reported a 100-Yuan/ton common increased. Now they quoted POY 75D/144F for 17,560 Yuan/ton, POY 75D/72F 16,710 Yuan/ton and POY 100D/36F 15,310 Yuan/ton. And another manufacturer’s quotation increased 200 Yuan/ton generally as a recovering yesterday afternoon. Now they quoted FDY 68D/24F 17,900 Yuan/ton.
The polyester price continues to go up in Tong Xiang Market. A local mainstream manufacturer reported that their light FDY products generally increased 200 Yuan/ton, semi-light FDY, POY and DTY products increased 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F 16,400 Yuan/ton. The manufacturer said the sales were good yesterday and the production-marketing was among 200%-300%.
Yesterday, PTA’s mainstream negotiated price for sell was around 11,550-11,600 Yuan/ton. The negotiated price for buy of Taiwan goods was around 1,465 dollars/ton. MEG’s negotiated price for sell increased to 9,750 Yuan/ton and the price for buy was around 1,250-1,255 dollars/ton. As the raw material’s settlement price of this month was given out yesterday, PTA was introduced highly at 11,950 Yuan/ton and MEG was 10,250 Yuan/ton. Hence, pushed by this, the downstream weaving factories in Jiangsu-Zhejiang Area did the purchase in panic and the mainstream polyester yarn manufacturers’ production-marketing was around 200%-300%. Moreover, the international crude oil price surged overnight. Ended by Feb. 22, due after the trade of the very day, the futures price of light crude oil delivered in March increased 7.37 dollars and closed at 93.57 dollars; the increasing rate was 8.55%. The futures price of the light crude oil delivered in April increased 5.71 dollars and closed at 95.42 dollars; the increasing rate was 6.36%, which created a new high since Oct, 2008. In the London Market, the futures price of the North Sea Brent oil delivered in April increased 4 dollars and closed at 105.78 dollars. The semi-dull chips price is slightly pulled up in Jiangsu-Zhejiang today. In the early market, the comparatively high offering is pushed to 14, 000 Yuan/ton (Acceptance price) and the close focus also slightly increased to 13,600-13,700 Yuan/ton (spot acceptance). Therefore, in my opinion, jointly pushed by the cost and demand, the polyester yarn price will have a slight rise in a short term.
