The Apparels Export Towards France Increased 15% in China, 2010

    It is analyzed by France Fashion Research Institute that the import and export trade of textiles and apparels in France rose again after the big drop from 2008 to 2009. The growth rate of textiles export was 7% (in 2009 it was -19%), and the value was 4.4 billion Euro; the growth rate of textiles import was 11%, and the value was 5.7 billion Euros; the growth rate of apparels export was 2% (in 2009 it was -9%), and the value was 6.4 billion Euros; the growth rate of apparels import was 6%, and the value was 15.3 billion Euros. It is analyzed that the consumption in France fashion garment market was weak in 2010, and the household fabric products market was still cool.
    It is reported that the growth rate of textiles exported to Asia was 27%, the value was 0.35 billion Euros, and the growth rate exported to 27countries of EU was just 4% but the value was 2.6 billion Euros. The analysis emphasized that the biggest increasing market of textiles exported from France to Asia was China, whose growth rate was 39% and the value was 0.174 billion Euros. China has became the eighth client from the tenth of textiles export in France, 2009. It is showed that China’s purchasing power and demand for high-grade products increased rapidly and brought new life to the French textiles enterprises.
    It is reported that the apparels export in France accounted for 40% of the turnover in total industry, but the drop rate of apparels export from France to EU was 1% and the demand of main clients for France fashion apparels was weak. However, the American and Japan market has recovered, and the growth rate were 24% and 21% separately. In 2010, China remain the biggest country which exported apparels to France, the growth rate was 15% (which was 4% in 2009). The third country which exported apparels to France was Bengal, and the growth rate was 18%.
