The polyester yarn price is steadily increasing in Shengze, China today. A local melt spinning manufacturer reported that part of the DTY products increased 100-200 Yuan/ton and others unchanged. Now they quoted low-stretch 150D/48F 18,000 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F 20,000 Yuan/ton. However, other local manufacturers stabilized the quotations. A local direct spinning manufacturer quoted DTY 75D/72F for 21,400 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/72F 17,800 Yuan/ton. Another manufacturer quoted the spot exchange of FDY 50D/48F for 18,800 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19,500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that the sales last weekend were good, around 70-80%. The polyester yarn price keeps steady in Taicang, China. A local POY manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F at 17, 450 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and FDY 50D/24F 19,100 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that the production-marketing fell back to 50% and the early inquiry was ordinary. The polyester yarn price is also mainly in deadlock in Zhang Jiagang. Now one of the local manufacturers quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 19,000 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the downstream buying amount became large.
The polyester yarn prices are mainly consolidating in Xiao-Shao Market, China. Most of the local manufacturers unchanged the quotations. Only one manufacturer in Xiao Shan increased some individual POY products quotation slightly. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F 17,450 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/144F 17,850 Yuan/ton. Another manufacture there unchanged the quotation. Now they quoted POY 75D/144F 17,660 Yuan/ton and FDY 68D/24F 17,900 Yuan/ton. The other mainstream manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F 17,300 Yuan/ton and 100D/48F 15,900 Yuan/ton. The polyester keeps steady in Tong Xiang Market. Now a local manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 15,500 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 150D/48F 16,700 Yuan/ton. The manufacturer said the sales in last weekend were good and the production-marketing was around 100%-120%.
In last weekend, the production-marketing of mainstream polyester yarn manufacturers all fell back in Jiangsu-Zhejiang Market. The manufacturers who offer lower prices can balance the production and marketing, while those who offer high prices had 50-70% production-marketing. Although the upstream raw material price is still at a high level and the international crude oil price continues to increase, the stock willing of the downstream manufacturers is low. They mostly buy the material under required amount. Therefore, in my opinion, the recent polyester yarn will mainly be in adjustment.
