A local direct spinning manufacturer reported that the 75D series DTY products and POY products increased 100 Yuan/ton and others unchanged. Now they quoted DTY 75D/72F for 21,600 Yuan/ton (6-month Acceptance) and POY 75D/72F 18,100 Yuan/ton (6-month Acceptance). A local melt spinning manufacturer stabilized the quotation quoted low-stretch 150D/48F 18,000 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F 20,000 Yuan/ton. Another manufacturer’s quotations also keep unchanged. Now they quoted the spot exchange of FDY 55D/24F for 18,200 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19,500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that the yesterday’s sales were good, and the production-marketing was generally over 100%. The polyester yarn price has partial increase in Taicang, China. A local POY manufacturer stabilized the quotation and quoted POY 75D/72F at 17, 750 Yuan/ton (3-month Acceptance) and FDY 50D/24F 19,100 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Zhang Jiagang. Now one of the local manufacturers quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 19,100 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers reported that there was no stock pressure presently.
The polyester yarn prices partially rose in Zhejiang Market, China. A mainstream POY manufacture in Xiao Shan increased the quotation 100 Yuan/ton generally. Now they quoted POY 75D/144F 17,760 Yuan/ton and FDY 75D/36F 17,000 Yuan/ton. Another manufacture there unchanged the quotation. Now they quoted FDY 66D/24F 17,900 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 150D/48F 16,500 Yuan/ton. The other mainstream manufacturer also didn’t change the prices. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F 17,300 Yuan/ton and 100D/48F 15,900 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price generally increased 100 Yuan/ton in Tong Xiang Market. Now a local manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 15,500 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 150D/48F 16,800 Yuan/ton. The manufacturer said that the production and marketing can be balanced yesterday.
The international oil price continued to rise yesterday. By the close, the futures price of the light crude oil delivered in April in COMEX increased 1.02 dollars to 105.44 dollars/drum and the increasing rate was 0.98%. In London Market, the futures price of the North Sea Brent Oil delivered in April dropped 93 cents slightly to 115.04 dollars/drum. Hence, the oil price difference between London and New York reduced to 9.60 dollars. Moreover, the PTA futures price also rose yesterday, the main force contract 1105 closed at 11,900 Yuan/ton, which increased 106 Yuan/ton compares with the settlement price in last trading day. Today, the trading volume of contract 1105 fell to 714492 hands and its position increased to 192386 hands. Affected by this, some polyester yarn manufacturers increased their quotations of the short supplying. However, the resistant attitude of the downstream market towards the high price material is strong, so the polyester yarn manufacturers are cautious about the price increase and their selling strategy still focuses on the amount.
