The Export Value Of Textiles And Apparels In China Broke 200 Billion USD, 2010

    According to the Customs, The export value of textiles and Apparels in China was 206.53 billion USD in 2010, including textiles yarns, products, apparels and accessories, which increased 23.6% year on year. It is the first time that the year export value broke 200 billion USD (see the table below). Among which the apparels and accessories export value was 129.48 billion USD, which increased 20.9%; the textiles yarns and the products export value was 77.05 billion USD, which increased 28.4%.

    First, on Dec, the mouth-to-mouth and year-on-year growth rate both increased. The export value of textiles and Apparels in China, 2010 fluctuated dramatically. The export value on Mar was 11 billion USD, which dropped 9.5% year on year, and Mar became the only mouth whose year-on-year growth rate dropped. The export value on July reached 20.79 billion USD which was the highest in the whole year. On Dec, china exported textiles and apparels 19.92 billion USD, which increased 18.3% year on year and 4.7% mouth to mouth.

    Second, the growth of general trade export value passed 70%, but the processing trade export value increased slowly. China exported textiles and apparels by the general trade methods 152.92 billion USD, which increased 27% and accounted for 74% of total domestic textiles and apparels export value; China exported textiles and apparels by the processing trade methods 37.98 billion USD, which increased 9.6% and accounted for 18.4% of total domestic textiles and apparels export value. 
     Third, the EU, USA, and Japan were the top three export markets, and the export towards new emerging markets increased rapidly. In 2010, China exported textiles and apparels to EU 44.65 billion USD, which increased 23.7%; China exported textiles and apparels to USA 33.72 billion USD, which increased 27.8%; China exported textiles and apparels to Japan 22.44 billion USD, which increased 5.2%. The export value towards the three markets accounted for 48.8% of total export value. In addition, china exported 12.02 billion USD to the Latin America, which increased 61.7%.
    Fourth, the private enterprises exported nearly 50% and increased dramatically. In 2010, the private enterprises exported textiles and apparels 100.85 billion USD in China, which increased 33.6% and accounted for 48.8%. In 2010, foreign-investment enterprises exported 62.65 billion USD, which increased 15.4% and accounted for 30.3%. In 2010, the state-owned enterprises exported textiles and apparels 33.35 billon USD, which increased 15.6% and accounted for 16.1%.
    Fifth, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Jiangsu were the top three export provinces. In 2010, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Jiangsu provinces exported textiles and apparels separately 49.76 billion USD, 37.69 billion USD, 33. 58 billion USD, which increased 25.2%,21.6%, 25.7%. The total export value of the three provinces accounted for 58.6% of the whole export value. In addition, the export value of Shanghai, Shandong, and Fujian provinces all passed ten billion USD, which were separately 17.85 billion USD, 17.32 billion USD, and 11.54 billion USD, and increased 16.8%, 22%, and 22%.
