Polyester Quotation Everyday (9th, May)

 

Upstream: Last weekend (6th May) Asian PX price fell greatly to $1495/t, FOB Korea, European PX price was quoted at $1585/t, FOB Rotterdam.
 

PX spot goods: Today, PTA spot goods price continue to fall, market transaction atmosphere is cold and real transaction is rare. Quotation domestically fell to 9950CNY/t and out abroad strike price of Taiwan ship loaded cargo is quoted at $1270-1285/t, Korean goods price was negotiated at $1260/t.
 

MEG: Today MEG quotation continues to downward. Domestic quotation of East China market is quoted at 8500CNY/t. Imported goods were holding tight and a few of quotations for the end of May were around $1105/t while sellers’ ideal price was $1090/t.
 

Downstream: Today poly market quotation continue to downward, east China poly bottle chips price are generally lowered to 12800CNY/t (EXW price). Zhejiang Semi-gloss chips price was negotiated around 12600CNY/t. Bright chips mainstream price was at 12600CNY/t. Poly price in eastern China are continue to fall, of which, 1.4D*38mm direct spinning poly staple fiber price lowered to 13200CNY/t. Poly fiber plants in Zhejiang and Jiangsu province continue to fall, and the drop amount was generally at 100-500CNY/t respectively. Now FDY50D/24F mainstream was quoted at 16100CNY/t (Acceptance in 6 month)
 

Today, poly material price rebound up to some degree, but quotation inquiry is still less, most buyers hold wait-and-see mood, so the general atmosphere is depressed. It is expected that poly fiber quotation will still consolidate at weak.
