May 31st, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

Upstream Market: In May 30th, Asian PX price fell 19 U.S. dollars to 1,482 dollars per ton FOB Korea, and European PX price is basically stable at 1,546 U.S. dollars per ton FOB Rotterdam.

 

PTA Spot Goods: Today PTA spot market is stable. In the overseas market, the actual negotiating price of Taiwan cargo is about 1,215-1,220 U.S. dollars per ton, and the actual negotiating price of Korean cargo is near by 1,205-1,210 U.S. dollars per ton. The transaction atmosphere is insipid, and the actual negotiation is scarce. In the domestic market, the actual negotiating price is around 9,700 Yuan per ton in the East China, and the transaction atmosphere is flat in the market, and the actual negotiation is few.

 

MEG: Today the morning quotation of MEG is 9,100-9,200 Yuan per ton in China-Jiangsu market, the bid price is between 9,050-9,100 Yuan per ton, and the negotiating price is estimated by 9,100 Yuan per ton.

 

Polyester: Today the polyester bottle price keeps stable in the domestic market, now the major quotation is between 12,400-12,500 Yuan per ton in the domestic mainstream bottle manufacturer, the bid price is near by 12,200-12,250 Yuan per ton, and the actual negotiating price is between 12,300-12,400 Yuan per ton. At present, the transaction atmosphere is flat, and the actual negotiation is general in the market.
