June 8th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

Upstream Market: In June 7th, Asian PX price fell 16 U.S. dollars to 1,423 dollars per ton FOB Korea, and European PX price fell 5 U.S. dollars to 1,475 U.S. dollars per ton FOB Rotterdam.

 

PTA Spot Goods: Today PTA spot market is stable. In the overseas market, the actual negotiating price of Taiwan cargo is about 1,215 U.S. dollars per ton, and the actual negotiating price of Korean cargo is near by 1,205 U.S. dollars per ton. In the domestic market, the actual negotiating price is around 9,600-9,650 Yuan per ton in the East China, and the transaction atmosphere is flat in the market, and the actual negotiation is few.

 

MEG: Today spot goods of petrochemical MEG raise 150 Yuan per ton in China-Jilin, now the spot quotation is 9,580 Yuan per ton in the local, and the quotation is 9,300 Yuan per ton outsourcing the North China, meanwhile, the market price is 8,830 Yuan per ton outsourcing the East China, and the cargo quotation is 9,020 Yuan per ton.

 

PET: Today the polyester bottle price keeps firm in the domestic market, now the major quotation is between 12,600-12,700 Yuan per ton in the domestic mainstream bottle manufacturer, the transaction atmosphere is flat. In addition, the semi-bright polyester chips also continues to be firm in China-Jiangsu and Zhejiang market, now the major negotiating price is about 12,000-12,100 Yuan per ton in the market.
