June 27th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

Upstream:On June 24th, the futures price of light crude oil in New York Commodity Exchange increased 14 cents to 91.16 USD per barrel, and the growth rate was 0.15%. The price of PX in Asia dropped 14 USD to 1,410 USD/Ton FOB Korean and the price of PX in Europe dropped 14 USD to 1,430 USD/Ton FOB Rotterdam.

 

PTA: The PTA price dropped continuously. The price of PTA in domestic market was about 9, 250 Yuan/Ton. In overseas market, Taiwan cargo price was about 1,175 USD/Ton and the Korean goods was lower.

 

 

PET: Today, the price of semi-dull polyester chips keeps about 11,900 Yuan/Ton in Jiangsu and Zhejiang market and the market atmosphere is normal. The price of polyester bottle chips in domestic market dropped to 12,400 to 12,500 Yuan/ton and the market atmosphere is light.

 

Downstream:Today, the price of PSF in eastern China dropped slightly. The price of direct spinning PSF 1.4D*38mm dropped to 12, 900 to 13, 000 Yuan/Ton. The price of polyester yarns dropped slightly and several factories dropped about 100 Yuan. Now, the main factories quoted POY100D/36F for 14,310 Yuan/Ton and web yarn DTY75D/72F for 18,700 Yuan/Ton.
