Polyester New Technology Makes the Market Active

    First, the functional polyester staple fiber

    It is reported that Taiwan Huamao Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. used the coffee grounds to make into crystals, then ground into nano-powders, and finally added to the polyester fibers to produce a new kind of functional polyester staple fiber-coffee carbon fiber. Its main function is antibacterial and deodorant, divergent negative ions and anti-UV. DAsheng Group has adopted coffee carbon fiber and Lenzing viscose blended to produce a new kind of yarn, which has the properties of antibacterial and deodorant, divergent negative ions, and anti-UV. The new yarns can primarily be used for the production of socks, underwear, T-shirts and so on. It is found that coffee carbon products can not only reduce the release of ammonia odor by inhibiting bacterial growth, but also effectively remove the alcohol and tobacco odor. Water is a breeding ground for bacteria and nutrients, and bacteria breed is decided by the environment temperature, moisture and nutrients, and the porous adsorption effect of coffee carbon controls the surface water effectively, and thus plays a role in inhibiting bacterial growth.

    The ammonia odor is also reduced dramatically, so coffee carbon can be an effective deodorant. Meanwhile, the coffee carbon can release negative ions. The study confirmed that "oxygen free radicals" has adverse effect to health; it will not only cause cell aging, damage proteins, and even reduce the immune system, accelerates atherosclerosis and cancer. The main function of the negative ion is to neutralize the "oxygen free radicals", and slow the oxidation of the cells.

Research shows that when wearing a coffee carbon products, the effect of absorbing negative ions is same to in early morning walk in the park, and 2-4 times of in the office, 6-8 times of at the outdoor heavy traffic times. As the coffee carbon yarns own excellent features, the fiber itself is gray, it can not be dyed before processing, so the product developments in the Dasheng Group immediately attract Mona, Li Ning, Shanghai Heshan and many other customers, and now it entered the low-volume pre-production stage.

    Second, stain-resistant polyester fabric

    Diren Fiber Co., Ltd., the core polyester fiber business company of Japanese Diren Group, announced that it has developed a new kind of stain-resistant polyester fabric, which is the first new fabric which both have the function of water absorption and oil resistant in the world, it absorbs moisture, eliminates viscous, and rejects oil. This new material is planned to push into market as a comfortable fabric, and this new material is suitable for four seasons, it will be used for sportswear, uniforms and fashion garments, such as shirts, tailoring and sewing clothes, home-style pants, and the garment which needs the function of resistance to oil and sweat.

    Diren Fibers will promptly sell the new fabrics for sports wears and apparels in spring and summer in 2012. The key to this breakthrough is Diren Fibers take advantage of fiber processing technology and nanometer technology, and successfully make100 nano coating cover the fiber surface, which consists of a single absorbent layer and anti-water and anti-oil layer. When the sweat or other moisture contact with fabrics, the water is selectively absorbed and soon spread to the absorbent layer and the oil was excluded, and then can be easily washed off.

    Followed, the research and development path is different, the imitation cotton, super cotton technology is more emphasis on the integration of differentiation and functional technology, and emphasizing the integration of polymerization, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing technology. The development of super imitation cotton product through the following phases: imitation cotton appearance, changing denier and cross-sectional shapes; imitation cotton on performance, improving fiber dyeability and moisture, forming the look and feel of cotton fabrics; imitation cotton function, not only forming good feel and wearability, but also better than the cotton fabric in the water permeability, moisture absorption, antistatic behavior, thermal stability, and mechanical properties, etc.

The National Science and Technology department launched the first "the twelve five-year plan" program “super imitation cotton and its textiles industrial technology development." More than 20 superior units have participated this program: China Textile Institute, Donghua University, Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd., Taicang Jinhui Chemical Fibre Industrial Co., Ltd., and so on.
