Viscose Price Began to Increase

168Tex News: In the end of August, viscose staple fiber quotation is around 19500CNY/t, while in the beginning of the month, the quotation is 18500CNY/t, and thus the increase amount is 850CNY/t, namely 4.6%.
With the influence of low storage, viscose staple fiber price began to steadily increase. On upstream market, dissolving pulp sales well, cotton pulp price increased to 12000CNY/t, while cotton linter price keeps firm with the influence of short supply. Viscose staple fiber price steadily increase, which also boosted its downstream rayon yarn price up. With the coming of a busy season of autumn and winter imitated furs’ garments, rayon yarn demand enlarged. On the other hand, cotton price stopped to increase after kicking the bottom. There is usually a positive correlation between cotton and viscose. Cotton price rebound, to some degree, will boost viscose price up. See from viscose profit, currently its profit has come back to a balance line of profit and loss. Some large sized enterprises has recovered on a full operation rate.
On the whole, upstream pulp price is firm, which forms a support to viscose staple fiber, while cotton price rebound, in return, will boost viscose price upward. After the four month price drop, it is estimated that viscose price will mount high.
