China Imported 1,690,000 Tons Cotton Accumulatively in the First 8 Months

    In August, China imported 207,000 tons cotton and the M-to-M growth rate was 32%. The data showed that the domestic and overseas cotton price dropped within 2000 Yuan/Ton in 2010/2011 cotton year.

    According to the Customs, in August, the cotton import volume rebound to 207,000 tons, which increased 50,000 tons compared to July, and the growth rate was 32%. The average price was 3025 USD/Ton, which dropped 85 USD compared to July, and the drop rate was 2.7%. In the first 8 months, China imported 1,690,000 tons cotton accumulatively.
