The Cotton Import Volume Dropped 13.8% Y-on-Y in August

    According to the Customs, China imported 207,000 tons cotton in August, which dropped 33,000 tons Y-on-Y and the drop rate was 13.8%. From Jan to August, China imported 1,690,000 tons cotton accumulatively, which dropped 13.4%. In 2010 cotton year, China imported 2,580,000 tons cotton accumulatively, which increased 73,000 tons Y-on-Y and the growth rate was 2.9%.
