A Summary of Fabric Market Tendency in Early October

In early October, the fabric market is very mild. Judge from the fabric prices, those of nylon, polyester, viscose and spandex fabrics are as weak as normal. As for the nylon fabrics’ tendency, it was insipid. Among the nylon fabrics, 190T light nylon with coating stayed at 4.90 CNY/m from late September to early October; medium thick taslon 178T with coating was sold around 8.05 CNY/m; recent weak price of nylon filament didn’t give strong support for nylon fabrics.

Judge from the polyester fabrics, the spot price is steady in early October. 230T taffeta with coating stayed at 2.86 CNY/m from late September to early October; medium thick oxford (1*1，150/300) with coating stayed at 4.65 CNY/m; thick peach skin (satin design 19*4) with coating is sold around 9.00 CNY/m. At present, price of polyester filament is consolidating and its driving force to the polyester fabrics is weakened.

From the viscose fabrics’ price tendency, it stopped moving forward at the early October. Rayon lining twill (140m) stopped at 9.60 CNY/m from late September to early October. The viscose price is at a normal level by now and its influence upon the viscose filament fabrics is weak.

From the spandex fabrics’ price tendency, spandex chiffon (17*27) with coating stayed at 5.88 CNY/m from late September to early October. Recent spandex price had little fluctuation and had least influence on the polyester spandex compounded fabrics.

During the Chinese National Holiday, the overall sales of routine fabrics are weak. Among the fabrics, the trade volume of poly satin is good; sales of jacquard lining keep a smooth tendency; taffeta series have slight increase in sales; trades of warp knitting mesh lining are recorded rebound; high-density pongee and flag spinning both increase in sales and poly/cotton lining series also shows rising tendency.

In recent times, Fall/Winter fabrics’ samples are listed in the market day by day and partial sales of these fabrics are quite good. Among these fabrics, brand new Nylon/Poly jacquard strip fabrics was shown on market and gained a lot of compliment from the customers.
