Mar 16th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

CPL: Today RMB spot market of CPL is flat. Now the supplier quotes the goods around 22,800 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is about 22,500 Yuan/ton and the actual negotiating price is around 22,500-22,600 Yuan/ton.

Futures: Today PTA futures open lower again in China Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1205 opens at 8,868 Yuan/ton, declines 40 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also go lower，now the contract 1209 opens at 21,280 Yuan/ton, falls 60 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PSF: Today the leading quotation of polyester staple fiber declines in South China. Among which 1.4D*38mm direct spinning PSF quotes around 11, 450-11,550 Yuan/ton by cash and with delivery. In addition, the market price of polyester staple fiber continues to slow down in East China, now 1.4D direct spinning PSF quotes around 11,350-11,450 Yuan/ton.

PTA: Today PTA price keeps stable in North China. The leading quotations are around 8,750-8,800 Yuan/ton in the market, the downstream bidding prices are around 8,700 Yuan/ton, and the practical discussions are around 8,700 -8,750 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and lack of negotiations.

MEG: Today MEG quotes around 7,300-7,350 Yuan/ton in Jiangsu，China and the buying offer is 7,200-7,300 Yuan/ton, now the negotiations are uncertain. Meanwhile, the leading quotation of MEG is 1,000 U.S. dollars/ton in Asian market, the buying offer is 980 dollars/ton, and the negotiations are around 990 dollars/ton.

PFY: Today the prices of polyester yarn keep stable in Tongxiang, China, and others are unchangeable. Now the cash quotation of DTY150D/144F is 14,000 Yuan/ton, DTY150D/48F is around 13,100 Yuan/ton, and POY150D/144F is 12,100 Yuan/ton.
