Mar 23rd Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

PSF: Today the prices of polyester staple fiber continue to slide in South China, among which the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF fall to 11,200-11,250 Yuan/ton by cash and with delivery.  

MEG: Today the market quotation of MEG is 7,500 Yuan/ton in Jiangsu，China, the buying offer is 7,400-7,450 Yuan/ton and the negotiations are around 7,450-7,500 Yuan/ton.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly higher in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,674 Yuan/ton, up 14 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also go higher in Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange，now the contract 1209 opens at 21,380 Yuan/ton, up 40 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the prices of polyester yarn increase in Xiao Shan, China. A local leading manufacturer increases FDY products by 100 Yuan/ton, and others are unchangeable, now the quotation of FDY66D/24F is 12,500 Yuan/ton, FDY150D/96F is 11,500 Yuan/ton and DTY150D/48F is 12,800 Yuan/ton. The factory said the production and marketing was 150% or so yesterday.

PET Bottle Chips: Today the prices of polyester bottle chips continue to be lower in China. Now the leading manufacturer quotes the goods for 11,550-11,600 Yuan/ton by cash and with delivery, the downstream bidding price is around 11,300 Yuan/ton, and the negotiations are about 11,300-11,450 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is not good and with little negotiations.

PTA: Today PTA price keeps stable in North China. The leading quotations are around 8,650 Yuan/ton in the market, the downstream bidding prices are around 8,550 Yuan/ton, and the practical discussions are around 8,550 -8,600 Yuan/ton. The demands are cold in the downstream manufacturers, and the practical discussions are limited.
