Apr 11th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

PTA: Today PTA prices keep firm in North China. The market quotations are around 8,700-8,750Yuan/ton, the bidding prices of downstream manufacturers are around 8,600 Yuan/ton, and the practical discussions are about 8,650-8,700 Yuan/ton. Now the trading atmosphere is cold and there are little negotiations.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,536 Yuan/ton, which falls 62 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also go slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange，now the contract 1209 opens at 21,350 Yuan/ton, which decreases 40 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day.

PSF: Today the prices of polyester staple fiber are consolidated in East China, and the center of quotation continues to rebound back in some manufacturers. Now the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,100-11,200 Yuan/ton.

MEG: Today the market quotation of MEG is around 7,200-7,230 Yuan/ton in Jiangsu，China, the buying offer is about 7,100-7,150 Yuan/ton and the negotiations are around 7,150-7,200 Yuan/ton.

CPL: Today RMB spot market of CPL is cold. Now the sporadic offer is between 21,300 and 21,500 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is 21,000 Yuan/ton, and the practical discussions are around 21,000-21,300 Yuan/ton.
