Apr 18th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly higher in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,710 Yuan/ton, which increases 34 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day. Meanwhile, the cotton futures also open slightly higher. Now the contract 1209 opens at 21,230 Yuan/ton, rises 5 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day.

PTA :Today PTA price increases slightly in China. The suppliers are unwilling to sell out at low price, the sporadic quotations are about 8,800-8,850 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding prices are around 8,750 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8,750-8,800 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and the actual transaction is general.

VSF:  Today the market quotation of viscose staple fiber is rising while maintaining the stability in China. At present, the leading quotation on market is 16,300-16,600 Yuan/ton. The production and marketing has improved and the manufacturers carry out the pre-orders.

FDY: Today  the prices of FDY products rise and others are unchangeable, now the quotation of FDY66D/24F is 12,700 Yuan/ton and DTY100D/36F is 14,000 Yuan/ton. However, the price goes stable in another POY manufacturer, now the cash quotation of POY150D/48F is 11,250 Yuan/ton.
