Apr 23rd Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,688 Yuan/ton, falls 16 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day. Meanwhile, the contract 1209 of cotton futures opens at 21,400 Yuan/ton, which is flat compared with the closing price of previous trading day.

PTA: Today PTA prices are stable in North China. The quotations are around 8,800-8,850 Yuan/ton in the market, the downstream bidding prices of manufactures are about 8,750 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8,800 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and the actual transactions are scarce.

PSF: Today the centre of leading quotations for polyester staple fiber is dominated by stability in South China. Among which the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,150-11,250 Yuan/ton. 

PET Bottle Chips: Today the prices of PET bottle chips are stable in China, now the leading manufacturer quotes the goods for 11,000-11,100 Yuan/ton by cash and with delivery, the downstream bidding prices are about 10,900 Yuan/ton, and the practical negotiations are about 10,900-11,000 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and with limited negotiations.
