May 9th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

PTA: Today, the PTA market keeps stable in China. Leading manufacturers quoted the goods at 8700 Yuan/ton. The downstream bidding price is around 8600-8650 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8650 Yuan/ton. The market is still mild and few deals are closed.
MEG: Today, the MEG market is mainly adjusting. Leading quotations and the discussions in domestic market are 7550-7660 Yuan/ton and 7550 Yuan/ton respectively. The overseas market also turned weak. Ship-loaded cargo with protective tariff is quoted around 1005 dollars/ton and the discussions are basically below 1000 dollars/ton.
PSF: Today, the polyester staple fiber market is in consolidation and leading quotations generally stay stable. At present, 1.4D direct spinning PSF is quoted 11050-11150 Yuan/ton.
PET BOTTLE CHIPS: Today, the polyester bottle chips market is mainly stable. Leading quotations of bottle chips orders are predicted around 10850-10900 Yuan/ton and minorities stay at 10800 Yuan/ton in East China.
PFY: Today, the quotations of polyester yarn are all unchanged in Shengze, China. Now a melt spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/72F and FDY 50D/24F at 14600 Yuan/ton and 13900 Yuan/ton separately. Another melt spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F and 50D/48F at 13500 and 13800 Yuan/ton respectively, both by acceptance. The other FDY manufacturer quoted bright FDY 50D/36F at 13300 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers all reported that the inquiries reduced than previous days.
