May 17th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

PTA: Today PTA price keep stable in North China. The market quotations are around 8,500 Yuan/ton, the bidding prices of downstream manufactures are about 8,450 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are near by 8,450-8,500 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and with limited practical negotiations.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly higher in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,150 Yuan/ton, increases 26 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day. However, the cotton futures open slightly lower in ZCE, now the contract 1209 opens at 18,995 Yuan/ton, falls 190 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the prices of polyester yarn continue to be stalemated in Shaoxing, China. Now the cash quotation of FDY75D/36F is 12,210 Yuan/ton in a local leading manufacturer, FDY100D/48F is 11,910 Yuan/ton, FDY150D/96F is 11,000 Yuan/ton, and the bright FDY75D is quoted 12,100 Yuan/ton.

PSF: Today the centre of leading quotations for polyester staple fiber begins to be weak in South China. Among which the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,100-11,200 Yuan/ton. In addition, the quotations of PSF are sluggish and continue to be low in East China. At present, the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,000-11,100 Yuan/ton.
