May 29th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

PTA: Today the price of PTA goes weak in North China. Now the market quotations are around 8,300-8,350 Yuan/ton, the bidding prices of downstream manufacturers are about 8,250 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are near by 8,300 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and with little practical negotiations.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, the contract 1209 opens at 7,914 Yuan/ton, falls 32 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also open slightly lower, now the contract 1209 opens at 19,400 Yuan/ton, declines 65 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the price of polyester yarn maintains stable in Shaoxing, China. The cash quotation of semi-bright FDY75D/36F is 11,700 Yuan/ton in a local leading manufacturer, FDY150D/96F is 10,600 Yuan/ton, FDY120D/36F is 10,810 Yuan/ton and the bright FDY75D is 11,700 Yuan/ton.

PSF: Today the price of polyester staple fiber shows the downward trends in East China, and the centre of leading quotation continues to be reduced. At present, the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 10,800-10,900 Yuan/ton. In addition, the price of 1.4D direct spinning PSF falls to 10,900-11,000 Yuan/ton in South China.
