May 31st Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

Today, the MEG price slid in the domestic market. Leading quotations are around 7300-7350 Yuan/ton. The discussions of large and small orders are predicted both about 7300 Yuan/ton. The PTA price is stable in South China. Leading quotations are around 8300-8350 Yuan/ton. The downstream bidding price is around 8250 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8250 Yuan/ton. The market is still mild and lack of negotiations. Today, a local direct spinning manufacturer decreased the DTY products by 200-500 Yuan/ton. Now DTY 150D/144F is quoted 13100 Yuan/ton by 6-month acceptance. DTY 100D/36F and 48F is both quoted at 14000 Yuan/ton with 6-month acceptance. FDY 50D/24F and 50D/48F are quoted 13800 Yuan/ton and 14000 Yuan/ton respectively and both with 6-month acceptance. Today, the bearish attitude is still strong in the viscose staple fiber market and its price slightly dropped in the market. Now the leading quotations are around 15500-16200 Yuan/ton on market and the downstream players are cautious.
