June 5th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

PTA: Today PTA price declines sharply in overseas market. Now the quotation of Taiwan cargo falls to 950 dollars/ton, the downstream bidding prices are about 900-920 dollars/ton, and the practical discussions are 930-940 dollars/ton. In addition, the quotation of Korean cargo is 930 dollars/ton, the bidding prices of downstream manufacturers are about 900 dollars/ton and the practical discussions are 900-920 dollars/ton.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, the contract 1209 opens at 7,206 Yuan/ton, falls 152 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also open slightly lower, now the contract 1301 opens at 18,770 Yuan/ton, declines 90 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the price of polyester yarn continues to decline in Shaoxing, China. The quotation falls to 200-300 Yuan/ton in a local leading manufacturer. Now the cash quotation of semi-bright FDY75D/36F is 11,000 Yuan/ton, FDY150D/96F is 9,800 Yuan/ton, FDY100D/48F is 10,800 Yuan/ton and the bright FDY75D is 11,200 Yuan/ton.

PSF: Today the price of polyester staple fiber still shows the downward trends in East China, and the centre of leading quotation continues to be down. At present, the price of 1.4D direct spinning PSF falls to 10,400-10,500 Yuan/ton.
