June 19th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

Today, the PTA futures opened low in Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange in the morning session. Contract 1209 opened at 7270 Yuan/ton, which slid 20 Yuan/ton than the closing price of last trading day.

 

PTA price increased in the domestic market. The leading quotations are around 7,350- 7,400 Yuan/ton. The discussions stay at 7,300-7,350 Yuan/ton temporarily and the bidding price is 7,300 Yuan/ton.

 

PTA price goes up in overseas market. The Taiwan goods increased to 940-950 dollars/ton. The downstream bidding price is around 935-940 dollars/ton. The discussions are around 940 dollars/ton. The partial quotation of Korean goods stayed at 935 dollars/ton. The bidding price is around 920 dollars/ton. The practical discussions are around 925-930 dollars/ton.

 

Today, the polyester yarn price slightly increased in Shengze. Now a local direct spinning manufacturer increased the price of some DTY products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now DTY 75D/144F is quoted 14,000 Yuan/ton and DTY 75D/72F is quoted at 13,600 Yuan/ton both by 6-month acceptance. Another FDY manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted semi-dull FDY 50D/48F at 12,000 Yuan/ton and bright FDY 50D/36F at 12,400 Yuan/ton both by cash. There is still 100-200 Yuan/ton discount during trades.
