The polyester yarn price keeps increasing in Shengze, China. A local mainstream direct spinning factory’s quotations remain steady; now they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton (6-monthe Acceptance). Another melt spinning factory reported their products increased 100 to 300 Yuan/ton and some specific ones increased 500 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted light FDY 75D/36F for 18, 000 Yuan/ton, DTY 75D/72F 20, 700 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the stock pressure was little and the storage was around 10-day amount. The polyester yarn price rises in Taicang, China. A local mainstream polyester yarn manufacturer reported that POY increased 100 Yuan/ton generally, FDY increased 100-200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 18, 600 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange); acceptance price for POY 75D/72F was 16, 850 Yuan/ton. Manufacturer said the production and marketing can be balanced yesterday.
The polyester yarn price continues to increase in Xiao Shan, China. A local mainstream polyester yarn manufacturer reported that DTY and POY commonly increased 100 Yuan/ton and FDY increased 200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 66D/24F for 17, 300 Yuan/ton, 150D/96F 16, 950 Yuan/ton, light-web DTY 75D/72F 20, 100 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 150D/48F 15, 800 Yuan/ton. Manufactures said the sales were good yesterday and the production and marketing was 170%. Another local POY manufacturer reported a 100-Yuan/ton common increase. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14, 760 Yuan/ton and FDY 75D/36F 16, 410 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Tongxiang, China. A local mainstream manufacturer reported POY and DTY generally increased 100 Yuan/ton and FDY increased 200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 150D/48F for 14, 050 Yuan/ton, light-web DTY 150D/48F 16, 450 Yuan/ton and black light-web DTY 300D 16, 100 Yuan/ton.
The price of polyester raw material kept increasing yesterday. For example, Asian PX price increased 18 dollars to 1, 633 dollars FOB Korea; European PX price increased 2 dollars to 1, 621 dollars FOB Rotterdam. PTA futures, the main force TA1105 increased 658 points and closed at 11622 points. PTA spot goods were quoted around 11, 200-11, 300 Yuan/ton in the inner market. The shipping price of Taiwan goods was around 1, 450-1, 460 dollars/ton in the outskirt. The mainstream quotation of semi-dull chips increased to 13, 400-13, 500 Yuan/ton (Acceptance by cash), and some specific ones increased highly to 14, 000 Yuan/ton (by cash); but most manufactures were still reluctant to sell. Stimulated by the rise in price of the upstream, the downstream weaving manufacturers enlarged their cover force yesterday and their production and marketing rates were above 100% generally and some good ones were closed to 200%. Moreover, the raw material’s price was settled highly in the upstream last month and there is no stock pressure for the manufacturers, so the rising-price intention is still strong recently.
