The polyester price keeps stable today in Shengze, China. The quotations of the local polyester manufacturers keep stable too. Now a direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 600 Yuan/ton (6 Month Acceptance). Another melt spinning manufacturer quoted light FDY 75D/36F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton. The other local full-dull products manufacturer quoted FDY 40D/48F for 21, 100 Yuan/ton. And a local manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 18, 800 Yuan/ton. The manufacturers said the sales was flat these two days. The polyester price continues to be stable in Taicang, China. Now a local manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 18, 900 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange); and POY 75D/72F 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). The manufacturers said the early inquiry was ordinary. One local mainstream manufacturer’s quotation keeps stable in Zhang Jiagang, China. Now they quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 19, 400 Yuan/ton and reported that their storage was around half-month amount.

The polyester price keeps stable in Xiao-Shao Market, China today. The quotations of local manufacturers remain unchanged. For example, a manufacturer reported a 200- Yuan/ton general increase in Xiao Shan, China. Now a manufacturer quoted black yarn FDY 150D/96F for 16, 550 Yuan/ton. While another POY manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F for 16, 750 Yuan/ton. And a manufacturer in Shao Xing, China quoted FDY 50D for 18, 600 Yuan/ton.

The polyester price keeps stable in Tong Xiang, China. The mainstream manufacturers’ quotations remain unchanged. Now a local manufacturer quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16, 300 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/48F for 14, 550 Yuan/ton.

Closed yesterday, the light oil futures delivered in March dropped 23 cents in COMEX, which closed at 86.71 dollars/drum; while the oil futures increased 1.90 dollars in London market, which closed at 101.82 dollars/drum. Although the upstream raw material price went weakly nowadays, the polyester material price grows strongly. For example, on Feb. 9^th, the Asian PX price slightly increased to 1, 618-1, 620 dollars/ton FOB Korea and 1, 639-1, 641 dollars/ton CFR China. While the mainstream negotiated price in the PTA East China inner market was 11, 100 Yuan/ton and the Taiwan goods’ quotation was 1, 440 dollars/ton in the PTA outskirt market; the fragment offering of the Korean goods was around 1, 400 dollars/ton; and the semi-dull chips spot transaction price in Jiangsu-Zhejiang was 13, 600 Yuan/ton with 3-month Acceptance and delivery. Moreover, for good luck in business at the beginning of Chinese New Year, the manufacture won’t let the price drop, so I think, in the short run, the polyester price will mainly keep a slight increasing situation.
