While another direct spinning manufacturer’s quotation keeps steady, and they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 600 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance). One manufacturer continues to quote FDY 50D/48F for 18, 800 Yuan/ton (By cash). Manufacturers reported that yesterday’s sales was ordinary and the production-marketing was around 40-50%. The polyester yarn price keeps stable in Taicang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 18, 900 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F for 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the early inquiry was ordinary. A mainstream manufacturer in Zhang Jiagang, China reported a common increased of 300 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted the cash offer of light FDY 40D/24F for 19, 500 Yuan/ton and semi-light FDY 55D/24F for 18, 300 Yuan/ton. The manufacturer reported that 2 sets of devices of them would have had maintenance for 20 days, so the supply is becoming short and the price is rising.
The polyester yarn price is steadily increasing in Xiao-Shao Market, China. One mainstream manufacturer in Xiao Shan reported a 100-Yuan/ton common increase, who quoted FDY 68D/24F for 17, 700 Yuan/ton, FDY 150D/96F 14, 900 Yuan/ton, DTY 150D/48F 16, 200 Yuan/ton, and light-web DTY 75D/72F for 20, 200 Yuan/ton. Another mainstream POY manufacturer unchanged the quotations, who quoted POY 75D/72F for 16, 650 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/144F for 17, 510 Yuan/ton. A manufacturer in Shao Xing quoted FDY 50D for 18, 600 Yuan/ton.
The polyester yarn price has a slight increase in Tongxiang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer reported that the light FDY generally increased 200 Yuan/ton, semi-dull 150D and up FDY products increased 200 Yuan/ton and the price of other specifications and DTY/POY unchanged. Now they quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16, 300 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/48F 14, 550 Yuan/ton.
The upstream raw material price is still in consolidation at a high position. Yesterday, the Asian PX market closed price slightly increased to 1, 623 dollars FOB Korea, and the European PX price basically remained at 1, 694 dollars FOB Rotterdam. The PTA futures increased sharply. The main force-1105 contract ended greatly at 12, 194 Yuan/ton which increased 220 Yuan/ton compared with the settlement price of last trading day. However, the East China inner market quotation of PTA spot market remained around 11, 200 Yuan/ton, and the mainstream negotiated price was among 11, 050-11, 100 Yuan/ton. The outskirt market quotation of PTA Taiwan goods remained around 11, 500-11, 800 Yuan/ton and the mainstream negotiated price is around 11, 200 Yuan/ton. In Jiangsu-Zhejiang Market, China, the mainstream quotation of the semi-dull polyester chips with spot goods and spot exchange also remained around 13, 500 Yuan/ton. Under the strong support of the upstream material, the manufacturers who have little storage are greatly willing to raise the price. However, consider that the weaving factories have already stocked up before Chinese New Year; I don’t think the increasing amount will be great in a short term.
