The polyester yarn price is mainly steady today in Shengze, China. One local direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 600 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance). Another local melt spinning manufacturer doesn’t change the quotations, and they quoted FDY 75D/36F for 19, 0 00 Yuan/ton. And the other manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19, 700 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that because of the good quality of polyester yarn in Shengze, the price of it was comparably high. Except this, because some manufacturers in Zhejiang reduced the price as a promotion, many customers was attracted there, so the sales in Shengze was not good, and the production-marketing was around 20 to 40%. The polyester yarn price remains unchanged in Taicang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 18, 900 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F for 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the early inquiry was flat and the production-marketing was around 20%.
The polyester yarn price is slightly increasing in Xiao-Shao Market, China. One local mainstream manufacturer reported a 300 Yuan/ton common increased of POY, while DTY and FDY kept unchanged. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F for 17,400 Yuan/ton, POY 150D/96F 15, 150 Yuan/ton and FDY 68D/24F 17, 700 Yuan/ton. Another mainstream POY manufacturer unchanged the quotations, who quoted POY 75D/144F for 17,510 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the early inquiry was ordinary and the production-marketing rose back to 70-80 %. A manufacturer in Shao Xing also unchanged the quotations, who quoted FDY 150D/96F for 14, 800 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price continues to be in consolidation in Tong Xiang, China. The local mainstream manufacturers don’t change quotations. Now one of them quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16, 300 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 300D 15, 350 Yuan/ton.
Presently, the raw material price is still in consolidation at a high position. The East China inner market offering of PTA spot market increased to 11800-11900 Yuan/ton and the mainstream negotiated price increased to 11, 750 Yuan/ton. And the outskirt offering of PTA Taiwan goods remains around 1, 470 dollars/ton and the practical negotiated price is 1, 460 dollars/ton. The mainstream quotations for spot goods and spot exchange of semi-dull polyester chips remain around 13, 500 Yuan/ton. Although the increasing tendency of the raw material price is strong at the upstream, the polyester yarn price has already been at a high level. Whether it would continue to increase in a short term depends on this month’s settlement price of upstream raw material price which is given out in the afternoon market and the operating situation in the downstream weaving market.
