The polyester yarn price is consolidating today in Shengze, China. Local mainstream polyester yarn manufacturers’ quotations keep stable. One local direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 600 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance). Another local melt spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 75D/36F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton. And the other manufacturer quoted spot exchange of FDY 50D/48F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19, 700 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the sales was normal yesterday and production-marketing was 30-40%. The polyester yarn price remains steady in Taicang, China. The local mainstream manufacturers unchanged the quotations. Now FDY 50D/24F is quoted 18, 900 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F is quoted 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the early inquiry was ordinary.
The polyester yarn price falls back a little in Xiao-Shao Market, China; and part of the manufacturers regulate down their quotations. A local POY manufacturer in Xiao Shan reported that POY generally dropped 150 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 75D/144F for 17,360 Yuan/ton. Another mainstream POY manufacturer’s quotation also decreased 200 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the early inquiry was ordinary and the production-marketing was about 50% yesterday. The polyester yarn price continues to be steady in Tong Xiang, China. The local mainstream manufacturers don’t change quotations. Now one of them quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16, 300 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the downstream market is still holding wait-see attitude.
The raw material price is still firm now. The East China inner market offering of PTA spot market stayed around 11800-11900 Yuan/ton and the mainstream negotiated price is 11, 700 Yuan/ton. And the outskirt offering of PTA Taiwan goods remains around 1, 480 dollars/ton and the practical negotiated price is 1, 470 dollars/ton. The mainstream quotations for spot goods and spot exchange of semi-dull polyester chips remain around 13, 600 Yuan/ton. Although because of the employment problem of the downstream weaving market, the operating rate is around 70-80%; besides the polyester yarn price has been at a high level, the downstream manufacturers is still awaiting.
