The polyester yarn price is mainly in consolidation in Shengze, China. The local polyester yarn manufacturers’ quotations keep stable today. A local direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 19, 600 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance). While in the two-day weekend, a local melt spinning manufacturer reported a 200-Yuan/ton general decease of DTY. Now they quoted FDY 100D/96F for 19,800 Yuan/ton and DTY 150D/144F 18,200 Yuan/ton. And the other manufacturer’s quotation also dropped 200 Yuan/ton generally, and now they quoted spot exchange of FDY 50D/48F for 18, 800 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19, 500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that a small section of periodical purchasing had finished and the sales-marketing fell back to 40-50%. The polyester yarn price remains steady in Taicang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 18, 900 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F is quoted 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the early inquiry was weak.
The polyester yarn price is still stable in Xiao-Shao Market, China. The local mainstream manufacturers unchanged the quotations. A local manufacturer in Xiao Shan quoted FDY 68D/24F for 17,700 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/72F 17, 400 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer quoted POY 75D/144F for 17,310 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price continues to be stable in Tong Xiang, China. Now a local manufacturer quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16, 300 Yuan/ton. And another manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F for 16,750 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that influenced by the recovering downstream operating rate and the purchasing periodic, the overall production-marketing of last week had some relative raise.
The polyester upstream raw material continued to fall back last weekend. The market offering in the PTA spot market fell back to 11,750 Yuan/ton and the mainstream negotiated price was around 11,700 Yuan/ton. The outskirt offering of PTA Taiwan goods fell back to 1,490dollars/ton and the Korean goods dropped to 1475 dollars/ton. The mainstream quotation of MEG in East China home trade market stayed around 9,950 Yuan/ton. However, the spot exchange price of semi-dull chips in Jiangsu-Zhejiang stays at 13,600 Yuan/ton with 3-month Acceptance and delivery. Today’s PTA futures still opened low. Therefore, I think under the low cost influence, the polyester yarn price will become weak recently.
