The Apparels Exportation of Nantong Reached A New High

    The export volume of apparels in Nantong area is 8456 batches, 40.6971 million pieces, whose value is 0.277 billion USD, increased 12.99%, 37.25%, and 63.57% year on year, increased 19.08%, 20.70% and 43.67% mouth to mouth. It reached a new high in the area.

    The statistic showed that the exported apparels in this area based on cotton apparels and exported to Japan, EU, USA, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong and so on. The apparels exported to Japan, Europe, and USA accounted for 60.08%, 16.08%, and 7.79% separately. The general trade way took the dominate position and was 79.22% of total batches. The average export unit price increased 15.94% year on year.

    It is analyzed that the high export volume is caused by the concentrated delivery of factories before the Spring Festival. The international high cotton price and increased labor cost caused by lacking of skilled workers were main reasons for the big growth of apparels export volume in the area.
