The overall polyester yarn price is stable in Shengze, China. A local direct spinning manufacturer reported that their FDY 50D series products DTY products as well as POY 150D/144F products generally increased 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 19, 200 Yuan/ton (6 Months Acceptance) and DTY 75D/144F 21,200 Yuan/ton. While another local melt spinning manufacturer’s quotation keep unchanged. Now they quoted DTY 150D/144F 18,200 Yuan/ton. And the other manufacturer’s quotation also keeps steady. Now they quoted spot exchange of FDY 50D/48F for 18, 800 Yuan/ton and light FDY 40D/24F 19, 500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that yesterday’s sales was still dull and the production-marketing was around 20-30%. The polyester yarn price has some fragmentary increase in Taicang, China. One local mainstream manufacturer reported that some specific products of FDY series generally increased 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 19, 000 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange) and POY 75D/72F is quoted 17, 350 Yuan/ton (Spot Exchange). Manufacturers said the sales were ordinary and the storage had an obvious increase.
The polyester yarn price is slightly pulled up in Xiao Shan Market, China. A local mainstream POY manufacturer reported a 150-Yuan/ton common increased. Now they quoted POY 75D/144F for 17,460 Yuan/ton. And another manufacturer’s quotation also increased 100 Yuan/ton generally. The other manufacturer increased the quotation for 50-100 Yuan/ton and still other manufacturer increased 200-300 Yuan/ton. However, the local mainstream manufacturers unchanged the quotations. Now one of them quoted FDY 68D/24F for 17,700 Yuan/ton. The polyester price slightly increased in Tong Xiang Market. Except light FDY 150D products and DTY products, one of the local mainstream manufacturers reported that the other products of them generally increased 100 Yuan/ton and the industrial yarn increased 500 Yuan/ton. Moreover, they increased the cation 75/72 products of POY series for 500 Yuan/ton and 150/288 1000 Yuan/ton. For still other products, the quotation keeps unchanged. Now they quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16,300 Yuan/ton. The manufacturer said that the early inquiry was ordinary.
The PTA futures and spot goods both dropped yesterday. The main force contract in ZCE, 1105 contract closed at 11,802 Yuan/ton, which dramatically dropped 286 Yuan/ton compared with last settlement day. As the offering of the PTA spot goods holders declined 100 Yuan/ton to around 11,650 Yuan/ton and the practical negotiated price was around 11,600-11,650 Yuan/ton. In the outskirt market of PTA spot goods, the offering of Taiwan goods dropped 10 dollars/ton to 1480 dollars/ton and part of the Korean goods was around 1,470 dollars/ton. In the East China home trade market of MEG, the mainstream market quotation was as low as 9,800-9,850 Yuan/ton and the practical negotiated price was 9,800 Yuan/ton and lower. The spot exchange price of semi-dull chips in Jiangsu-Zhejiang market stays around 13,500 Yuan/ton. However, the NY crude oil price increased sharply yesterday over night. The intraday U.S oil futures’ increasing rate was enlarged over 4.68 dollars/drum, which refreshed the high point 90.88 dollars/drum within the day; the increasing rate was 5.43%. Moreover, PTA futures opened highly today; plus it is said that the raw material’s settlement price in February will end highly. I think the increase that happened today will only be an exploratory one and the polyester yarn price may still climb up highly.
