Description: Aluminium is lightweight and has a good strength to weight ratio. Aluminium sheet is straightforward to form or bend using hand tools or a sheet metal bending brake. Fabrication is easy as sheet products can be welded with the correct skills and equipment and can be readily joined using rivets and other traditional fasteners. Aluminium sheeting is roughly ? the weight of mild steel, it is non-corrosive and can be formed easily. Sheets can be used for a wide range of applications from truck bodies in the transport industry to cladding and insulation in the building industry. Sheets can be supplied standard mill finish or they can be brushed to No.4 Satin Finish for more finishes in aluminium see decorative sheeting. Aluminium sheets are also available as painted sheet, stucco sheet and roof sheeting. Our Aluminium sheet, also known as plate, is supplied in Grade 1050 and is one of the most popular grades of aluminium. It is highly resistant to corrosion, very ductile and has a reflective finish. Aluminium alloy 1050 has a blue/silver appearance and is ideal for general sheet metal work where moderate strength is required but weight is an issue, as it is around the third of the weight of mild steel.
