After choosing the type of controllable atmosphere, the controllable atmosphere furnace can be used. The following problems should be paid attention to when using the controllable atmosphere furnace:

1. Controllable atmospheric consumption. In order to keep the atmospheric composition in the furnace free from external interference, the controllable atmospheric furnace needs to maintain positive pressure. In general, the pressure of the furnace is tens to hundreds of PAs higher than that of the workshop. Therefore, in the process of furnace operation, there are often controllable atmosphere escaping from the furnace through the door, sand seal and other inaccurate places. It is necessary to constantly add controllable atmosphere to the furnace. The determination of atmospheric consumption by simple theoretical method can only be used as a reference. Empirical formulas and data should also be compared with the actual analysis before they can be used as a basis for determining the gas production capacity of controllable atmosphere furnaces. Following is the introduction of chamber furnace: chamber furnace has simple structure and low cost, which can meet the heat treatment process requirements of quenching, annealing and normalizing of workpieces with different shapes. The common chamber furnace structure combusts in the bottom combustion chamber. It uses the kinetic energy of the nozzle outlet to inhale a part of combustion products to participate in recycling. The flue gas is discharged from the outlet of the furnace door and the back wall and is fed into the total smoke. Bottom combustion chamber is helpful to reduce the temperature difference between upper and lower parts. The floor area of chamber furnace can reach more than 102, which requires loading and unloading of workpieces.

2. Safe operation and controllable atmosphere with combustible gas, special attention should be paid to preventing explosion and poisoning accidents. When production resumes after each stoppage, the air in the furnace must be exhausted first. The amount of nitrogen used is about 4 or 5 times the volume of the furnace. The controlled atmosphere can be introduced into the furnace only after the nitrogen is released.
