Full operation instructions before and after the freeze dryer experiment
Operation steps: Before freeze-drying, first place the items to be dried in a low-temperature refrigerator or liquid nitrogen, and freeze the items completely before freezing and drying.
I. Boot operation
1. Connect the main power cord and turn on the yellow main power switch on the right. The "cold trap temperature" display window now displays the temperature of the cold trap.
2. Press the "Refrigerator" switch and the pre-cooling time is not less than 30 minutes.
3. Press the “Vacuometer” switch, and the vacuum degree is displayed as “999”.
4. After the pre-cooling is completed, place the prepared items to be dried in a drying pan, and then place the plexiglass cylinder cover on it.
5. Press the stainless steel pressing piece on the quick inflation valve. After hearing the click sound, pull out the quick inflation valve nozzle to seal automatically.
6. Press the “Vacuum Pump” switch, the vacuum pump will start to work, the vacuum degree will show “999”, and the actual vacuum degree will be displayed until it is below 1000Pa, and the freeze-drying process will start. Note: When the vacuum pump starts to work, press down on the plexiglass cover for a while to facilitate sealing.
Second, shutdown operation
  1. Plug the quick inflation valve into the quick inflation valve seat. (Gland type needs to turn the handle clockwise to inflate the stopper before inflation). At the same time, turn off the "vacuum pump" power switch to allow air to slowly enter the cold trap; if inert gas needs to be filled, connect the pressure reducing tube of the inert gas to the "inflation port".
  2. Turn off the "vacuum gauge" and "refrigerator", and unplug the power cord if not used for a long time.
3. Lift the plexiglass cover, remove and store the items, and the freeze-drying process is complete.
4. After the ice in the cold trap turns into water, the water needs to be discharged from the outlet of the quick inflation valve. The operation is similar to that of inflation.
5. Clean up the moisture and impurities in the cold trap and properly maintain the equipment. When the vacuum pump is not in use, cover the exhaust nozzle to prevent the entry of stolen materials.
